Crompton
Crompton Lamps is one of the oldest lamp businesses in the world, founded in 1878 by the late Colonel Crompton, an entrepreneur with an interest in electricity. He designed and installed some of the earliest recorded electric lighting installations at buildings such as Windsor Castle and Holyrood Palace.
In 1927 Colonel Crompton formed a partnership with Frank Parkinson and together they founded Crompton Parkinson which developed into a substantial manufacturing business producing a whole range of industrial electrical products.
2018 is a milestone year for Crompton Lamps as they are celebrating 140 successful years in lighting. Only through their unrivalled reputation for adapting and keeping pace with trends and the latest technologies has the company managed to remain successful throughout this time.
Crompton Lamps offers a wide-ranging and comprehensive product portfolio that provides a one-stop shop for anyone involved in the specification and purchasing of light sources. The Phoebe LED portfolio consists of interior, exterior and specialist area fittings that all offer totally energy efficient lighting solutions with emergency, sensor and DALI options available as made to order specials.
